I want to upgrade my phone to the G1, but only interested in using the wifi for internet access. Can I buy the phone with the data plan to activate my account and then cancel the data plan? Will the phone still work? Will TMobile charge me for going to websites with wifi? Any information on this will be helpful. Thanks.|||No you cannot. The G1 requires you to get a data plan.
