How do you plug in an actual house phone to use Google voice?

I just recently signed up for google voice and i wanted to use an actual house phone because i dont have a mic. Can i use a a home phone and plug in my computer or something? Do i have to have a USB phone which by the way i dont know what the hell it is. Any help would be good. Please and Thank you(:|||My suggestion is get a $20-$30 webcam with mic combo and use that. Or get a regular hosue phone.|||Unfortuantly its not that straight forward if you wanted to use your standard home telephone you would need a special adapter and thats just the start of it.

If you click on this link http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/Shop/ShopDetail.asp?ProductID=3508 then look at the photo at the bottom it will give you a rough idea how it works.

By far the easiest solution for you is to buy a USB Mic and headset. Something like this will do

Looks like you are USA based if you really want to use a standard house phone you will need a VOIP compatible one but you will need a tech guy to help setting it up for sure!
